Job Overview
Gessner Engineering, LLC is a leading engineering services firm seeking an experienced Registered Professional Land Surveyor to oversee project management and maintain quality control over processes and production. This senior position requires knowledge and experience with Easement/Right-of-Way Surveys, Plats, ALTA's, boundaries, property descriptions, topographic surveys, and client relations.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating field crews and survey technicians, data processing, research, field investigations, and project boundary calculations. You will also prepare boundary and topographical surveys, manage multiple projects, and adhere to the principles and practices of the Professional Land Surveying Practices Act.

The ideal candidate will have a technical Bachelor's degree, current Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor License, and experience with Boundary/Topo, construction calculations, preparation of right-of-way acquisitions and easements, ALTA/ACSM (NSPS) Land Title Surveys, and AutoCAD/Carlson software. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to independently manage a team and work collaboratively with other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Field Crews and Survey Technicians in the collection and calculation of field data
  • Data Processing
  • Perform research, field investigations, and project boundary calculations.
  • Preparation of boundary and topographical surveys, project control, metes and bounds descriptions and general survey support for engineering design projects.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Adhere to the principles and practices of the Professional Land Surveying Practices Act
  • Define applicable scope(s) of work based on project requirements
  • Provide technical and operational guidance / advice to project teams, on-site representatives, and survey contractors

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
