Position Overview:

Dexian is currently seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts fluoroscopic imaging procedures for patients across various age groups, adhering to established radiology practice standards.
  • Handles all aspects of patient imaging care, including clerical tasks, assisting physicians, and ensuring comprehensive patient outcomes in the outpatient surgery environment.
  • May instruct and prepare patients for radiologic examinations under supervision.
  • Determines optimal anatomical positioning and applies appropriate shielding to protect patients.
  • Prepares patients for imaging by explaining procedures and ensuring removal of items that may interfere with x-ray imaging.
  • Positions patients accurately for radiographic procedures.
  • Places x-ray film correctly and performs exposures, followed by film development.
  • Operates both stationary and portable radiologic equipment to capture images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Produces and develops x-ray films, ensuring high-quality images for medical evaluation.
  • Prepares necessary solutions for film processing.
  • Assists in fluoroscopic imaging and captures clinical photographs of unique cases under supervision.
  • Maintains imaging equipment and work areas in optimal condition.
  • Monitors patients throughout imaging procedures.
  • Utilizes radiation protection devices to minimize exposure risks.
  • Measures anatomical thickness and adjusts machine settings to achieve desired image quality.
  • Maintains accurate records and files related to imaging procedures.
  • Generates reports as required and performs additional related duties.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary radiologic equipment and techniques, along with a solid understanding of human anatomy.
  • Effective communication skills necessary for successful job performance and patient interaction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience, including training in radiologic methods under a qualified medical radiologist.
  • Completion of an accredited two-year radiologic technology training program.
  • Proficiency in using email and basic office software for communication and documentation.
  • Familiarity with medical data entry systems is preferred.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in fluoroscopic and x-ray imaging.
  • Ability to work full-time in a collaborative environment.
