Responsibilities:
The Patient Care Technician plays a crucial role as an unlicensed, non-certified support individual who assists with daily living activities, delivers basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse overseeing the team or unit.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a Registered Nurse program with successful completion of the first semester is required.
- Possession of a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire and must be maintained.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
- A minimum of six months of prior experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office is preferred.
- Must obtain a Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintain it.
Compensation and Benefits:
West Anaheim Medical Center offers competitive remuneration and a comprehensive benefits package that allows employees to customize their benefits according to individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, and various voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which encompasses wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is approximately $20.00. The precise starting compensation will be determined during the hiring process, considering various factors such as skill set, relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
