Company Overview
American Family Care (AFC) stands as one of the leading providers of primary and urgent care services across the United States, operating seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our advanced facilities are dedicated to the episodic treatment of acute medical conditions and injuries, as well as workers' compensation and occupational health services. Each center is equipped with an onsite laboratory and in-house radiographic capabilities. AFC also oversees AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This role is associated with a franchised business location, and specific job responsibilities and benefits may differ among franchises.

Job Summary
Conduct radiographic and various diagnostic imaging procedures to aid healthcare professionals in identifying injuries and illnesses. Support administrative and clinical tasks as necessary, including patient registration and medical assisting duties.

Key Responsibilities
1. Welcome patients and clearly explain procedures in a compassionate manner.
2. Position patients correctly for diagnostic imaging procedures.
3. Implement ALARA radiation safety protocols.
4. Process images, ensuring proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for physician review, including radiologist overreads.
5. Operate both digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, adhering to established radiology techniques and all relevant policies and procedures.
6. Assist healthcare providers with prescribed patient treatments in accordance with approved standards and protocols as needed.
7. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate repairs as necessary.
8. Complete documentation and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
9. Serve as a Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant when required, following appropriate guidelines.
10. Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution, or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training.
• ARRT registration or board eligibility preferred. Must be licensed according to state regulations. In certain states, Medical Assistant Certification, Practical Nursing License, EMT, or Paramedic certification may be acceptable.
