Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at Surgery Partners. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing fluoroscopic procedures, operating radiologic equipment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
  • Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations, explaining procedures and positioning them for accurate imaging.
  • Position and operate radiologic machines, taking x-ray images of various body parts for diagnostic purposes.
  • Develop and process x-ray films, maintaining accurate records and files.
  • Assist in fluoroscopic work, making clinical photographs and identifying images as needed.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Surround exposed areas with radiation protection devices, minimizing unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Measure and set controls on radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Keep accurate records and files, making reports as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the relevant state department of health services.
  • Fluoroscopy License Required.
  • Two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods, or successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the relevant medical organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of email systems and Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience with WebMD and Intergy systems.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a normal busy office environment with much telephone work. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.
