Job Description

The Community Renewal Team is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Food Service Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for serving food and beverages to our members, while also maintaining a clean and safe environment in our food service department.

Estimated Salary: $17.00 per hour

About the Job

You will serve food and beverages in a manner that accommodates the physical and physiological limitations of our members. This includes setting and clearing tables, arranging furniture as needed, and assisting members with mealtime tasks.

In addition to serving food, you will be responsible for maintaining daily kitchen cleanliness, including washing dishes, sweeping, and mopping floors. You will also clean surfaces in eating areas, remove dust, dirt, and debris, and check and fill food service-related dispensers to meet daily needs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience in a healthcare food service position, or two years in commercial, hospitality, or other food service setting. Active certification in good standing is also required (e.g., Food Handler's Certificate). Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
