Job Summary

Townsen Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chief Nursing Officer to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the delivery of high-quality patient care and advancing the organization's mission and vision.

The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer will assist the Chief Nursing Officer in executive-level management of resources, strategic planning, and development of policies and procedures. This includes operational and functional responsibility for a group of patient care areas and/or special projects or initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and managing the nursing services budget and ensuring sufficient qualified staff to assess patient needs
  • Ensure continuous performance improvement initiatives are designed to measure and improve the quality of care delivered and are consistent with the organization's priorities
  • Work collaboratively with other patient care and support departments to foster a climate of open communication and mutual problem-solving activities
  • Assist in managing costs by continually seeking data to identify opportunities and take action to eliminate non-value costs

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse License (Texas Board of Nursing or Compact) without restrictions
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Must obtain PALS within 6 months of hire if the pediatric population is served
  • Ten (10) years of nursing experience
  • Four (4) years in a leadership role
