Job Summary

This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and is part of the Oklahoma Human Services team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in Child Safety Meetings to guide the decision-making process for determining the child's safety needs and the best intervention strategy.
  • Plan, facilitate, and document family meetings to provide families with a consistent moderator of family information and case dynamics.
  • Provide direct services to children in placement, including assessments, referrals, and case management.
  • Collaborate with district attorneys, tribal partners, and other stakeholders to protect the child, reunite the family, or develop permanent plans for the child.

Requirements

  • Completion of 90 hours from an accredited college or university, or 3 years of experience related to child welfare work, or a combination of education and experience.
  • A bachelor's degree (in any field) to qualify, or one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
  • A Master's degree, or a bachelor's degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist, or two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.

This position requires extensive travel, and the successful candidate must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

State vehicles will be available for use to carry out the duties of the position.
