Key Responsibilities:- Manage a book of business and lead a multi-disciplined service team.
- Establish multi-year strategic plans and present them to clients.
- Negotiate renewals and manage client financials.
- Prepare and present renewals or marketing to Executives, Boards, or Public Sector Committees.
- Guide clients through the decision-making process and maintain ownership of all client deliverables.
- Lead the service team in implementing and executing strategic plans, renewals, or marketing.
- Mentor and manage a team effectively, inspiring collaboration, team performance, and camaraderie.
- Understand the intricacies and differences between Alliant's business sectors.
- Participate in team selling processes, including finalist interviews and RFP responses.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge in Underwriting, Compliance, Cobra, TPAs, FSAs, HSAs, and other relevant areas.
- Serve as a technical expert, assisting department members to resolve complex issues.
- Select carriers for solicitation and negotiate with carriers for benefit and premium considerations.
- Collect fees, reconcile, and resolve any outstanding balances within 60 days of invoicing date.
- Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eight (8) or more years related work experience.
- Valid insurance license.
- Continuing Education requirements for license renewal.
- Expert-level Employee Benefit product and benefit administration knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to conduct open enrollment meetings.
- Good problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to work within a team and foster teamwork.
- Good planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Strong understanding of self-insurance and alternative funding arrangements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
