Lead Infant Educator Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Infant Educator to join our team at Guidepost Montessori. As a Lead Infant Educator, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Child Development and Care: Observe and meet the physical, intellectual, and emotional needs of each child, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
  • Environment Preparation: Create a prepared environment that promotes independence, exploration, and learning, using Montessori materials and techniques.
  • Parent Communication: Collaborate with parents to provide regular updates on their child's progress, share observations, and involve them in the educational process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other educators and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in Montessori education and infant care.

Requirements:

  • Education and Training: Completed courses in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, with a focus on Montessori principles and practices.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with infants and young children, with a strong understanding of child-led philosophies and Montessori methods.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
