Summary:

At East River Medical Imaging, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services with compassion and care. Our team comprises board-certified physicians specializing in various sub-specialties of medical imaging. We are seeking a dedicated Front Desk Associate who will be the first point of contact for our patients. It is essential that you present a friendly, welcoming demeanor while efficiently managing patient flow and inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a strong rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds through effective communication and empathy.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a positive attitude at all times.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Process payments and manage insurance estimates accurately.
  • Update and maintain patient records and contact information in the system.
  • Ensure all necessary insurance authorizations are obtained.
  • Verify that patients are cleared for all required examinations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with two years of college experience or two years of relevant experience in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with basic insurance and medical terminology.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
Skills:
  • Strong project and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively communicating with team members.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Professional interaction with patients, physicians, and staff.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, and relevant medical imaging software is preferred.

Work Environment:

The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.

Physical Demands:

Regular lifting of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The role requires standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks.
