Summary:

At East River Medical Imaging, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services with compassion and care. Our team of certified physicians specializes in various sub-specialties of medical imaging, ensuring high-quality patient experiences. We are currently looking for a full-time Front Desk Associate to be the welcoming face of our facility. This role is essential in creating a positive first impression for our patients. You will manage patient flow, provide necessary information, and assist visitors effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a strong rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds through effective communication and empathy.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and a positive attitude at all times.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask efficiently without feeling overwhelmed.
  • Process payments and manage insurance estimates accurately.
  • Update and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy of contact information.
  • Verify that all necessary insurance authorizations are obtained.
  • Ensure patients are prepared for all types of imaging exams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with two years of college experience or two years of relevant healthcare experience.
  • Familiarity with basic insurance and medical terminology.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
Skills:
  • Strong project and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with team members.
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Professional interaction with patients, physicians, and staff.
Computer Skills:

Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, and relevant medical imaging software is required.

Work Environment:

The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.

Physical Demands:

Regular lifting of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The role requires standing, walking, and the use of hands for various tasks.
