Summary:

At East River Medical Imaging, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services with a focus on patient comfort and care. Our team comprises highly qualified physicians certified by the American Board of Radiology, specializing in various sub-fields of medical imaging. We are currently seeking a dedicated Front Desk Associate to be the welcoming face of our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a positive experience for our patients as they navigate our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a strong rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds through effective communication and empathy.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude at all times.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently without becoming overwhelmed.
  • Process payments and manage insurance estimates accurately.
  • Update and maintain patient records, ensuring all information is current.
  • Verify that all necessary insurance authorizations are obtained.
  • Ensure patients are properly prepared for various imaging exams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with two years of college experience or two years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with basic insurance and medical terminology.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards.
Skills:
  • Strong project and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively communicating with team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
Technical Proficiency:

Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, and medical imaging software systems.
