We're currently seeking a highly skilled Datacenter Design Architect to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and developing advanced datacenter infrastructure conceptual designs and prototype innovative technologies related to our datacenter portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical facility design, engineering, and operational requirements with an emphasis on datacenter building design, master planning, systems analysis, systems integration, cooling, network, and power distribution. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders across our organization to develop and deliver global strategy projects.

Job Description

As a Datacenter Design Architect, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and diagrams, that contribute to the development of complex new products or features.
  2. Providing guidance to other engineers on the use of fundamental features of modeling tools.
  3. Displaying deep knowledge in a specific and complex engineering domain or knowledge in multiple technical areas.
  4. Creating robust, scalable, secure, and extensible designs and/or verification plans for hardware engineering aspects of complex products or feature areas.
  5. Developing and implementing technical solutions to complex quality and design challenges, applying lessons learned to recommend future-focused solutions.
  6. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support development and delivery of global strategy projects.
  7. Communicating with highly technical management teams and collaborating with other technical and non-technical groups for greater impact in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, datacenter infrastructure, and networking protocols.
  • Experience with design production using software such as Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD for development of conceptual level designs.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between $150,000 - $275,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
