POSITION TITLE: GSS Recruitment Specialist - Seasonal
POSITION PURPOSE: The GSS Recruitment Specialist Seasonal is a temporary role designed for approximately 4 to 5 months. The selected candidate will oversee the daily administrative functions of the Goodwill Staffing Services Department. This individual will play a crucial role in managing the recruitment, retention, and onboarding processes for GSS temporary personnel. Additionally, the Recruitment Specialist will handle time-sensitive payroll and billing responsibilities while supporting their designated GSS Recruitment Manager. This role is integral to the Quality Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Facilitate and manage pre-placement requirements, including pre-screening interviews, background checks, skill assessments, education verification, and drug testing as necessary.
- Input weekly time data for payroll processing accurately.
- Coordinate all new hire documentation, including I-9 eligibility verification.
- Ensure timely and precise timekeeping, payroll, and billing processes. Collect and input accurate data for invoicing.
- Submit all billing in accordance with established State, Federal, A.N.D., Goodwill, and other contractual guidelines.
- Communicate with clients and employees regarding any payroll-related updates or issues.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of new and existing accounts.
- Collaborate with community groups, colleagues, and vendors to promote the achievement of the organization's mission.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality to ensure compliance with Goodwill policies and established CARF standards, as well as adherence to all State, Federal, and local laws.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure safe working conditions within the assigned divisions and departments.
- Work collaboratively with all customers to deliver quality service and ensure maximum satisfaction.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and committee/team activities as required.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours and days based on business needs.
- Develop and nurture relationships with recruited employees and recruitment resources.
- Conduct phone interviews and schedule in-person interviews.
- Provide follow-up communication to candidates regarding their recruitment status.
- Process onboarding paperwork and ensure compliance with all hiring requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and/or a bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience is necessary. A background in Human Resources is preferred. A valid driver's license is required. The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills, along with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. The ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision, is essential.
