Job Overview

POSITION TITLE: GSS Recruitment Specialist - Seasonal

POSITION PURPOSE: The GSS Recruitment Specialist Seasonal is a temporary role designed for approximately 4 to 5 months. The selected candidate will oversee the daily administrative functions of the Goodwill Staffing Services Department. This individual will play a crucial role in managing the recruitment, retention, and onboarding processes for GSS temporary personnel. Additionally, the Recruitment Specialist will handle time-sensitive payroll and billing responsibilities while supporting their designated GSS Recruitment Manager. This role is integral to the Quality Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Facilitate and manage pre-placement requirements, including pre-screening interviews, background checks, skill assessments, education verification, and drug testing as necessary.
  2. Input weekly time data for payroll processing accurately.
  3. Coordinate all new hire documentation, including I-9 eligibility verification.
  4. Ensure timely and precise timekeeping, payroll, and billing processes. Collect and input accurate data for invoicing.
  5. Submit all billing in accordance with established State, Federal, A.N.D., Goodwill, and other contractual guidelines.
  6. Communicate with clients and employees regarding any payroll-related updates or issues.
  7. Assist in the development and maintenance of new and existing accounts.
  8. Collaborate with community groups, colleagues, and vendors to promote the achievement of the organization's mission.
  9. Maintain a high level of confidentiality to ensure compliance with Goodwill policies and established CARF standards, as well as adherence to all State, Federal, and local laws.
  10. Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure safe working conditions within the assigned divisions and departments.
  11. Work collaboratively with all customers to deliver quality service and ensure maximum satisfaction.
  12. Attend meetings, training sessions, and committee/team activities as required.
  13. Demonstrate flexibility in working hours and days based on business needs.
  14. Develop and nurture relationships with recruited employees and recruitment resources.
  15. Conduct phone interviews and schedule in-person interviews.
  16. Provide follow-up communication to candidates regarding their recruitment status.
  17. Process onboarding paperwork and ensure compliance with all hiring requirements.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and/or a bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience is necessary. A background in Human Resources is preferred. A valid driver's license is required. The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills, along with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. The ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision, is essential.
