Certified Nursing Assistant for Hospice Care

Our Hospice Nursing Aides provide essential personal care services, including changing linens, assisting with dressing, bathing patients, and supporting hygienic routines such as dental care, hair washing, and maintaining clean and dry wound dressings. They may also guide family members in caring for their terminally ill loved ones by teaching them basic healthcare routines. Nursing Aides regularly consult with supervising registered nurses to keep hospice team members informed about patient progress and family needs.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid CNA certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in direct client care within an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility).
- At least 1 year of experience within the last 5 years in direct client care in a home health or hospice environment.
- Completion of a training and competency evaluation program that meets federal and state regulations.
- Registered and in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of employment.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to recognize the needs of individuals, maintain positive relationships, and effectively communicate meaningful observations to supervisors.
