Position Overview
The College of William & Mary Washington Center is dedicated to fostering exceptional academic and experiential learning opportunities. We aim to create impactful experiences for our community, including students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
Role Summary
Located in Washington, D.C., we are seeking a temporary, full-time Program Assistant. This role reports to the Senior Program Manager and focuses on the administration of two distinct student programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee and monitor student applications, including conducting interviews.
2. Organize and facilitate onboarding processes and orientation sessions for students.
3. Assist in the overall management of the programs.
Employment Conditions
This position may require flexible hours, including early mornings and late nights, as well as travel to the main campus. Occasional overnight stays may be necessary. Additional hours beyond the standard workweek may be required during peak operational periods.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to travel to the main campus for meetings and events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Background in coordinating academic programs for students.
- Experience in a higher education environment, particularly in program coordination.
Remote Work Eligibility
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for remote work at least one day per week, subject to approval.
