This institute is distinguished by its comprehensive approach to oncology, integrating prevention, detection, treatment, and survivorship into a seamless continuum of care. It boasts significant investments in cancer facilities, recruitment of top-tier physicians, and the development of innovative clinical and research programs.

Key Position Details:

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Breast Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary team. This full-time role involves 32 patient contact hours per week, alongside call responsibilities focused on solid tumors.

Practice Highlights:

  • Collaboration with fellowship-trained surgeons and medical oncologists specializing in breast care.
  • Access to genetic counseling and an in-house genomic laboratory.
  • Support from a comprehensive team including integrative medicine specialists, social workers, and dietitians.
  • Participation in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards focused on breast cancer.
  • Opportunities to engage in cooperative group and early-phase clinical trials.

Technology:

Utilization of Excellian, a leading electronic health record (EHR) system, ensures efficient patient management.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with patients to enhance their health outcomes.
  • Adhere to a patient-centered approach that respects cultural diversity and individual rights.
  • Engage in a multidisciplinary team for effective case management.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and peer review processes.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical training required.
  • Completion of an accredited ACGME Hematology/Oncology fellowship program required.
  • Board eligible/certified with ABMS or AOA.
  • Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Ability to secure and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Compliance with credentialing and hospital privilege requirements.
  • BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:
Medium Work: Lifting weights up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
