Position Overview:

Our Cancer Institute stands out in the region, equipped to make significant investments in cancer care facilities, physician recruitment, and innovative clinical and research programs. We ensure that patients receive consistent, high-quality care throughout our health system.

Key Position Details:

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Breast Oncologist to become part of our advanced, multidisciplinary program. This full-time role involves 32 patient contact hours weekly, along with on-call responsibilities limited to solid tumors.

Practice Highlights:

  • Collaboration with fellowship-trained breast surgeons and medical oncologists.
  • Access to genetic counseling and an in-house genomic laboratory.
  • Comprehensive support services, including integrative medicine, social work, and nutrition.
  • Participation in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards focused on breast cancer.
  • Opportunities to engage in cooperative group and early-phase clinical trials.

Utilization of Excellian, a leading electronic health record (EHR) system, to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with patients to enhance their health outcomes.
  • Practice with consideration for cultural diversity and individual rights.
  • Engage in a multidisciplinary approach to patient management.
  • Participate in quality assurance and peer review processes.
  • Utilize quality improvement methodologies to enhance patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical training required.
  • Completion of an accredited ACGME Hematology/Oncology fellowship program.
  • Board eligibility or certification with ABMS or AOA.
  • Possession of an active medical license in Minnesota or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Ability to maintain DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Compliance with credentialing and hospital privilege requirements.
  • BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

Medium Work: Lifting up to 32 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently.
