Job Summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's dynamic team. As a key member of the accounting team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice Processing: Process accounts payable efficiently and reconcile vendor statements to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Financial Analysis: Review invoices, identify discrepancies, and resolve them in a timely manner to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Accounting Software: Enter invoices into accounting software (PeopleSoft preferred) to ensure seamless financial transactions.
  • Weekly Check Runs: Ensure flawless weekly check runs are completed on time, every time, to maintain a smooth financial workflow.
  • Vendor Management: Keep vendor files organized and up-to-date to facilitate efficient communication and payment processing.
  • Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Vendor Communication: Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally to maintain positive relationships.
  • Team Support: Provide support to the accounting team as needed to ensure seamless financial operations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate with a passion for accuracy and a knack for numbers. College coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable is preferred, but strong work ethic and eagerness to learn are highly valued.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Understand basic accounting principles and practices to ensure accurate financial transactions.
  • Software Skills: Familiarity with PeopleSoft accounting software is a major advantage, but not required.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle any situation professionally.
  • Independence and Teamwork: Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
