About the Role

Hook Hall is seeking a Brand Ambassador to join our crew. This role combines hospitality, bartending, service, and event production skills. As a Brand Ambassador, you will serve customers, represent Hook Hall, and promote our affiliated events. You will embody an All Hands In approach, assisting in various capacities throughout the venue. Our goal is to host world-class events, big and small, throughout the year. You will provide an unparalleled guest journey through each event.

Responsibilities
  • Hospitality
    • Greet guests upon arrival and provide accurate wait time estimates during busy periods.
    • Maintain a neat and organized front-of-house environment.
    • Show guests to their designated area and explain our policies and procedures.
    • Manage rental counters and efficiently administer rentals for guests.
    • Keep guests happy and handle complaints appropriately.
    • Build rapport with our guests and vendors.
    • Brainstorm ideas to enhance the guest experience.
  • Bartending and Service
    • Assist with opening and closing tasks, including side work.
    • Maintain safety and food and beverage quality standards.
    • Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies are available.
    • Request additional supplies as necessary and stock the bar.
    • Prepare garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks.
    • Mix, prepare, and serve drinks to members and guests according to approved recipes.
    • Ensure member accounts are properly billed through the Point of Sale System (POS).
    • Report complaints to a manager as soon as they occur.
    • Maintain and clean the bar area and equipment.
    • Maintain records of liquors, beers, wine, tobacco, and sundries to ensure bar stock is maintained at all times.
    • Attend staff meetings, including pre-shift sessions, as required.
    • Carefully follow all laws and Hook Hall policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service.
    • Serve drinks to members and guests seated at lounge tables in the absence of a beverage server.
    • Continually practice beverage and revenue control procedures.
  • Event Production
    • Maintain a positive image of the Hook Hall brand at all times.
    • Collaborate with our partners when they promote their products in our units.
    • Share event details provided by the marketing and operations teams to ensure our brands are advertised effectively and efficiently.
    • Put on a remarkable show, producing Hook Hall-branded events.

  • Well-organized with the ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for short periods of time.
