Job Purpose & Scope

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and validate the collateral and loan activities associated with a designated loan portfolio within the department. This position acts as the main point of contact for all inquiries related to collateral and loan operations, collaborating closely with the Portfolio Managers.

Essential Job Functions

+ Acts as the key liaison for all loan operation matters in partnership with the department's Portfolio Management team.

+ Engages in proactive monitoring, governance, and risk identification, ensuring timely escalation of issues while making informed risk decisions in line with established policies and regulations.

+ Reviews, processes, and reconciles client collateral and loan data, including but not limited to client sales, credit memos, cash receipts, accounts receivables, inventory, ineligibles, borrowing base certificates, excess availability, and reserves.

+ Inputs and creates new loans in the system, ensuring compliance with credit approval memos and loan agreements through thorough reconciliation.

+ Evaluates, processes, and reconciles loan advance requests in accordance with credit policies and authorized limits.

+ Conducts daily reconciliations of collateral, loan balances, and availability.

+ Computes and reconciles collateral ineligibles and reserves in strict adherence to loan agreements.

+ Establishes, monitors, and follows up on collateral, financial, and other reporting requirements within the loan system.

+ Provides training to new clients on reporting procedures.

+ Facilitates training for both new and existing analysts on departmental processes and procedures.

+ Implements applicable risk management programs and controls, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, while effectively addressing and remediating issues in a timely manner.

+ Guarantees that all client reporting aligns with loan agreement terms, working collaboratively with clients to resolve any reporting discrepancies and escalating issues to senior management when necessary.

+ Suggests process enhancements and quality improvements as needed.

+ Maintains the integrity and accuracy of the loan system at all times.

+ Regularly exercises discretion and sound judgment in executing essential job functions.

+ Upholds punctuality and attendance standards.

+ Adheres to Bank policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Basic Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, or a related field is preferred.

+ A minimum of 3 years of experience in collateral monitoring within asset-based lending is required.

+ Experience with data mining software such as Monarch, AR Wizard, and/or Access is required.
