Job Summary:

Offering a $10,000 Signing Bonus and Relocation Stipend

As a Medical Laboratory Technician 2 - Customer Support Specialist at VUMC, your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage clinical and anatomical laboratory inquiries via telephone. You will leverage your laboratory knowledge and exceptional customer service abilities to provide prompt and accurate assistance to callers, utilizing various software applications to monitor and resolve inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in enhancing the operations of the Laboratory Contact Center.
  • Exhibit expertise in utilizing the Contact Center ACD phone system and associated software tools.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Position Shift:

This is a full-time role based at Vanderbilt Laboratory Services, within the Customer Service Center, working the 3rd shift from Monday to Friday (10pm-6:30pm CST) with weekend and holiday rotations every 3rd shift. Candidates will be considered for certification within 120 days.

Position Qualifications:

  • LIC-Medical Laboratory Act certification in Tennessee
  • LIC-Medical Technologist certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Associate's degree
