The Customer Service Department plays a vital role in managing laboratory inquiries, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Position Summary:
The Medical Lab Technician is tasked with handling clinical and anatomical laboratory inquiries, providing clear and accurate assistance to callers. Utilizing laboratory expertise, the technician addresses various issues such as test orders, result inquiries, specimen collection, and incident reporting. This role emphasizes a customer service approach to enhance patient care, ensuring timely and professional communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage actively in tasks that support the optimal functioning of the Laboratory Customer Service.
- Exhibit proficiency with the Customer Service ACD phone system and related software tools.
- Provide leadership and mentorship in the absence of supervisory staff, assisting colleagues as needed.
- Utilize various software applications, including Microsoft Office and laboratory-specific tools, to manage inquiries effectively.
Position Requirements:
Candidates must possess a valid TN License within 120 days of hire and hold AMT or ASCP MT or MLS Certification. Relevant experience in a clinical laboratory setting is essential.
Work Schedule:
This position operates on the 3rd shift, requiring flexibility for rotating weekends and holidays.
