Charles River is seeking a Senior Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs to enhance our team across various locations in the United States. This pivotal role involves spearheading compliance and regulatory initiatives, managing client relations, and ensuring adherence to all relevant standards in animal care programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance
- Facilitate both internal and external audit processes
- Prepare and present compliance reports to executive management
- Establish a strategic vision for regulatory services
- Support financial planning and budget management
- Oversee the resolution of compliance-related incidents
- Supervise regulatory consultants and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) members
Qualifications:
- Must possess a veterinary degree
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a laboratory animal environment
- Valid licensure to practice veterinary medicine
- Diplomate status with the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) is required
The compensation for this role ranges from $210,000 to $250,000 annually, commensurate with experience and location.
