Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to review and revise clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate clinical documentation for quality and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements, including CMS rules and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in clinical documentation.
- Work closely with coding and quality teams to ensure accurate and compliant coding practices.
Requirements:
- Three years of related clinical experience in an inpatient setting.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse.
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) preferred.
- BSN required.
