We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Coordinator to support the Out of School Time (OST) program in the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. The successful candidate will assist in the development, coordination, and supervision of OST programs, working closely with the Program Manager to ensure high-quality programs that meet the needs of our community.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of OST programs, including Non-School Day Camps and Summer Action Adventure Camp.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise part-time and seasonal staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful program delivery.
- Program Quality: Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure OST programs align with the district's mission and goals, and provide high-quality programming that meets the needs of our community.
- Communication: Establish effective working relationships with co-workers, volunteers, parents, and community members to ensure successful program delivery.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in recreation-based programs, preferably in before/after school programs or summer camps.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organizational and time management skills.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The position involves working with children, staff, and community members, and requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
