Reliability Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Channel Personnel Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to existing equipment and installations, ensuring work schedules align with business objectives, and continuously improving equipment and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize preventative maintenance practices and use predictive technologies to improve plant and equipment reliability.
- Draft equipment specifications for specific process applications and contribute to projects during planning, scoping, and design review phases.
- Enhance Safety, Health, and Environment by improving aging equipment in the plant.
- Drive quality improvement in the maintenance department and work processes by introducing new technologies and processes.
- Perform root cause analysis of failed components, implement repair strategies, and track results.
- Maintain applicable required documentation and ensure all efforts comply with relevant codes and regulations.
- Participate in PHAs and audits related to the area of responsibility.
- Support and provide input on turn-around activities during all stages to meet time and budget constraints.
- Develop strategies and follow up on annual and long-term opportunities for equipment.
- Manage the maintenance budget under the guidance of Maintenance and Plant leadership.
- Provide technical support to the capital organization for evaluation of system design reliability.
- Guide the troubleshooting, repair, and refurbishment of plant mechanical systems.
- Actively participate in the Maintenance work teams to improve performance.
- Develop and implement training of both operations and maintenance personnel as needed for MI and Reliability purposes.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of reliability engineering experience within the petrochemical industry
- Experience with CMMS tools (SAP, SAP-Primavera & Maximo)
- Familiar with fixed equipment design, installation, and maintenance, including tanks, vessels, piping, etc.
- Familiar with rotating equipment design, installation, and maintenance, including hands-on troubleshooting of pumps, compressors, centrifuges, and extruders
- Thorough knowledge of plant operations in relation to maintenance activities
- Basic understanding of business and economic measures, including cost accounting
- Good interpersonal skills
