Job Title: Reliability Team Lead

ChampionX is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Team Lead to join our team at our Freeport, TX facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the maintenance team to ensure the safe and efficient execution of maintenance work on a daily basis. This includes planning and scheduling maintenance work, making spare parts and maintenance supplies inventory decisions, and authorizing Management of Change activities.

The Reliability Team Lead will work closely with the Production Supervisor and Production Specialist to prioritize work and ensure proper resource allocation. This role requires strong leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient execution of maintenance work
  • Plan and schedule maintenance work, including making spare parts and maintenance supplies inventory decisions
  • Authorize Management of Change activities
  • Work closely with Production Supervisor and Production Specialist to prioritize work and ensure proper resource allocation
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of education beyond High School (College or Technical School) or comparable work experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in planning, scheduling or supervising maintenance work
  • Knowledge of regulations (OSHA, EPA, CEQ, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills (troubleshooting)
  • Basic leadership abilities
  • Basic computer skills: SAP, Word, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's level Degree
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in planning, scheduling or supervising
  • Understanding of API 510, 570, and 653
  • Instrumentation and Electrical background
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to handle on-going tasks or projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership ability
