Public Health Clinical Laboratory Specialist

The Tatitlek Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Public Health Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Public Health Clinical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing high complexity sample analysis in accordance with the current environmental/biological scope and/or accredited under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Program (CLIP).
Key Responsibilities- Perform high complexity tests that are authorized by the Clinical Laboratory Senior Scientist.
- Complete demonstrations of capabilities as dictated by the laboratory.
- Follow all laboratory policies and Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Process and analyze specimens, and report test results.
- Maintain records of patient test results and quality control activities.
- Identify and correct problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results.
- Doctor of Medicine, doctor of osteopathy, or doctor of podiatric medicine licensed to practice medicine, osteopathy, or podiatry in the State in which the laboratory is located.
- Doctoral, master's or bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
- Associate degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
- Education and training equivalent to an associate degree that includes at least 60 semester hours from an accredited institution.
- Laboratory training that includes either completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the ABHES, the CAHEA, or other organization approved by HHS, or at least 3 months documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing.
The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system.
