Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team at The Tatitlek Corporation. As a Public Health Clinical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in performing high complexity sample analysis in accordance with the current environmental/biological scope and/or accredited under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Program (CLIP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high complexity tests that are authorized by the Clinical Laboratory Senior Scientist.
  • Complete demonstrations of capabilities as dictated by the laboratory.
  • Follow all laboratory policies and Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
  • Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
Requirements
  • Doctoral, master's or bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 months documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing.
  • High school graduate or equivalent and have successfully completed an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician).
Working Conditions

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system.
