Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Development Manager is a key role within Multivac, responsible for preparing the incumbent for growth to a higher-level Regional Sales Manager position. This developmental role involves learning the products and processes of the comprehensive line of Fritsch bakery equipment, as well as shadowing Regional Sales Managers to become proficient in internal and external sales processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Regional Sales Managers in identifying potential sales opportunities with existing customers and new prospects through personal sales calls, lead follow-up, market research, and other prospecting methods.
  2. Learn company resources used to further the sales process, including C4C, marketing tools, and demonstration and testing facilities.
  3. Train with Sales Administration to learn the quote and order process according to established procedures.
  4. Provide information for the C4C platform, including customer data, contact details, opportunity forecast data, and competitive information.
  5. Develop industry and Multivac business acumen, as well as a broad knowledge of the Fritsch product line and ability to confidently convey product features.
  6. Monitor and report competitive activity in the territory and elsewhere.
  7. Operate within annual expense budget and work to meet established individual sales budget.
  8. Attend and participate in trade shows, sales meetings, industry meetings, and other activities as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or other related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience in bakery-related industries.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with ERP and contact management systems.
