Job Title: Data Migration Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Consultant to join our team at CAI. As a Data Migration Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL scripts and programs to extract, transform, and load data from Oracle data sources to API endpoints and directly into a SQL Server database.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create SSIS packages to extract data from the database according to specified criteria
  • Develop Java programs for ETL when warranted by data needs and constraints
  • Apply necessary data transformations to ensure data is in the correct format for export
  • Load data via API endpoints or directly into SQL Server tables
  • Test and validate SSIS packages and Java programs to ensure they are extracting and transforming data correctly

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica)
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java)
  • Experience with APIs
  • Understanding of data modeling and database design principles
  • Knowledge of data quality and validation techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
