Job Summary

The Environmental Services Assistant is responsible for ensuring that various areas including rooms, lobbies, offices, restrooms, and common spaces are kept clean and orderly. The individual will perform cleaning tasks according to a set schedule and as needed to uphold cleanliness standards.

Work Schedule

Variable shifts are available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restocks clean linens as necessary.
  • Moves soiled linens to designated holding areas.
  • Maintains cleanliness in lobbies, offices, restrooms, and other designated areas.
  • Operates laundry equipment including washers and dryers.
  • Cleans carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, and drapes.
  • Conducts inspections of facilities for maintenance and repair needs.
  • Dusts and wipes down furniture, walls, and other surfaces.
  • Empties waste receptacles and cleans ashtrays.
  • Disposes of trash and waste appropriately.
  • Replenishes cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Maintains light fixtures and replaces bulbs.
  • May require travel to additional facilities.
  • Exhibits System Values in all actions and interactions.
  • Adheres to System policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required; two years of experience in industrial cleaning, preferably in a healthcare environment, is desirable.

Certifications

No specific licenses or certifications are required.

Additional Skills

Strong verbal communication skills are essential.
