Job Overview

Position: Facilities Maintenance Lead

The Facilities Maintenance Lead oversees and organizes the activities of maintenance technicians and team leaders. This role involves managing resources, equipment, and the entire maintenance department. The primary responsibility is to ensure that all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for all facility and operational assets are executed efficiently.

The ideal candidate will assist management in directing, guiding, coaching, and mentoring staff as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work a flexible schedule, which may include night shifts, overtime, and weekends to support continuous operations.
  • Maintain a personal toolkit necessary for fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems, including air cylinders and electro-pneumatic solenoids.
  • Diagnose and repair basic hydraulic systems, such as cylinders, motors, and solenoids.
  • Diagnose and repair various types of pumps, including centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
  • Manage troubleshooting and repair of process fluid transmission systems, including manual, electrical, and pneumatic valves, as well as basic piping configurations.
  • Oversee the troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of process monitoring equipment, including temperature, pressure, level, and flow devices.
  • Lead and motivate team members in a collaborative environment.
  • Possess fundamental electrical skills, including motor, sensor, and fuse replacements, along with an understanding of PLCs and sensor functions.

Essential Skills:

  • Supervisory experience in maintenance
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic systems
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing pumps
  • Knowledge of process fluid transmission
  • Experience in process monitoring and equipment calibration
  • Basic electrical proficiency
  • Computer literacy
  • Understanding of machinery timing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
Work Environment

The role is situated within a large distribution and manufacturing facility, characterized by a high-speed bottling operation, specifically in the energy drink and children's nutrition sectors.
