Shift Details:

This position operates on a MON-FRI schedule from 7 AM to 4:30 PM. Candidates must be prepared to undergo a drug screening and background verification.


Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is tasked with the routine upkeep and repair of campus facilities. This entry-level role reports directly to the General Maintenance Supervisor and works under the guidance of the Campus Facility Manager.


Key Responsibilities

The essential duties include:

  • Executing a range of semi-skilled technical tasks related to the maintenance of facilities and outdoor structures.
  • Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance activities.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the facilities and outdoor areas.
  • Assisting skilled trades in repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Accompanying contractors when specialized services are required.
  • Adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Utilizing hand and power tools effectively.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance issues.
  • Completing assigned work orders efficiently.
  • Performing additional related duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • A minimum of six (6) months of experience in general maintenance.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
