Certified Anesthesia Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Johns Hopkins HealthCare. As a key member of our anesthesia care team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist anesthesiologists and CRNAs with intra-operative patient care, including setup and calibration of anesthesia equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment, including ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps.
- Stock and organize anesthesia supplies, including medications, equipment, and consumables.
- Collaborate with the anesthesia team to ensure smooth operation of the perioperative area, including turnover between cases and preparation of equipment and supplies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to anesthesia care.
- ASATT certification as a Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T) or Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T)
- 7 years of experience as an anesthesia technician, with knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and other healthcare professionals
