Job Summary: We are seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist the anesthesia provider in preparing patients for anesthesia, cleaning equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of related experience, and BLS certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the anesthesia provider in preparing patients for anesthesia
  • Clean and maintain anesthesia equipment, including gas machines and ventilators
  • Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly sterilized and stored
  • Assist in reviewing and updating supply requisition forms
  • Requisition supply orders weekly and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Perform daily battery checks on battery-operated equipment
  • Assist in maintaining Anesthesia equipment and performing Preventive Maintenance inspections
  • Provide direct bedside care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Participate in training new Care Associates and assist in the training of new anesthesia technicians and CNA students

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of related experience
  • BLS certification
  • CNA certification preferred
  • ACLS certification preferred

Working Conditions: This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to blood and bodily fluids. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
