Job Summary:

As an Anesthesia Technician II at Johns Hopkins Medicine, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms. Under the direction of the Anesthesia Manager, you will assist staff Anesthesiologists and CRNAs in preparing for procedures, inspecting and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment, and setting up supplies and equipment in operating rooms and procedure areas. This is a full-time position requiring a high school diploma and completion of an anesthesia tech program or two years of work experience as an anesthesia technician.

Responsibilities:

Assist Anesthesiologists and CRNAs in preparing for procedures
Inspect and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment
Set up supplies and equipment in operating rooms and procedure areas
Use knowledge of POC testing, critical care monitoring, and stocking of anesthesia supplies

Requirements:

High school diploma and completion of an anesthesia tech program or two years of work experience as an anesthesia technician
Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures
ASATT certification desirable
CPR certification required

Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift and carry objects weighing 21-50 pounds, and push and pull non-motorized equipment. You will also need to be able to reach and grasp objects, walk and stand for extended periods, and occasionally contact patients and visitors.
