Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist in the preparation and maintenance of operating rooms for surgery. The successful candidate will provide technical support and assist in the operating room, emergency room, and other departments as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist anesthesia providers in preparing patients for anesthesia
  • Clean and maintain anesthesia equipment, including gas machines and ventilators
  • Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly sterilized and stored
  • Assist in reviewing and updating supply requisition forms
  • Requisition supply orders and distribute supplies to designated areas
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and supply levels
  • Perform daily battery checks on battery-operated equipment
  • Assist in the training of new anesthesia technicians and CNA students
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-year related experience
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) by the Maryland Board of Nursing preferred
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred

This position has a hiring range of $19.17 - $31.36.
