Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. As an integral member of our anesthesia team, you will assist the anesthesia provider in preparing patients for anesthesia, maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, and ensure the proper functioning of anesthesia equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the anesthesia provider in preparing patients for anesthesia, including cleaning and preparing equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, including daily cleaning and disinfection of equipment and surfaces.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of anesthesia equipment, including routine checks and maintenance.
  • Assist in the transportation of patients to and from the operating room, recovery room, and other departments as needed.
  • Provide clerical support to the anesthesia office, including answering phones, directing calls, and delivering messages.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of related experience.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification by the Maryland Board of Nursing preferred.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.
