Service Engineer for Field Operations

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Conduct initial commissioning and troubleshooting at customer locations.
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and service level agreement tasks on equipment at customer sites.
  • Exhibit flexibility to assist customers with short notice and non-standard work hours.
  • Identify and report defective materials or conditions requiring further attention.
  • Ensure the equipment's aesthetic quality upon job completion.
  • Execute advanced diagnostics, testing, and repairs.
  • Stay informed about machine designs and participate in ongoing training with support in assembly.
  • Assemble spare parts and retrofit components according to specifications.
  • Maintain a positive attitude consistently.
  • Represent the company and colleagues positively at all times.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Take initiative to excel within the organization.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized daily.
  • Uphold a professional appearance at all times.
  • Attend and engage in company meetings.
  • Travel extensively, approximately 75% or more, to customer locations.

Your qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).
  • Two-year degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Machine Assembly Technology, or related fields (preferred).
  • 5-7 years of relevant field service experience (required).
  • 5-7 years of experience with manufacturing and automation equipment (preferred).
  • 3-4 years of experience as a traveling Field Technician (required).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 75% or more (required).
  • Availability for on-call duties and weekend support (required).
  • Familiarity with Machine Based Inspection and Defect Detection Systems (preferred).
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly prints for mechanical hardware.
  • Ability to understand basic electrical schematics for wiring assemblies.
  • Intermediate mechanical knowledge.
  • Basic technical mathematical skills.
  • Basic to intermediate electrical knowledge.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on achieving common goals.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Outlook, and/or business software.
