Job Overview

General Responsibilities:
Are you passionate about delivering engineering and consulting solutions for diverse construction initiatives? This position involves overseeing field assessments, conducting inspections, and preparing comprehensive reports for our clients at Terracon. You will ensure that construction activities adhere to established plans and specifications, while also preparing cost estimates and proposals. Your role will include monitoring project timelines and budgets, as well as addressing any design or construction challenges that arise. You will be responsible for analyzing laboratory and field data for report inclusion and communicating complex engineering concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Our services cater to various sectors, including public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and standards across all projects. Engage in pre-task planning and report any safety concerns to management.
  • Uphold quality benchmarks on all assignments.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities; tasks are designed to enhance your knowledge and skills.
  • Assist in research, data gathering, field observations, inspections, and both field and laboratory testing. Compile relevant reports or sections of larger documents.
  • Assess laboratory and field data for report integration.
  • Conduct calculations and engineering analyses.
  • Draft routine proposals and support the development of more complex proposals.
  • Collaborate with engineering technician teams in testing, observations, and data collection on-site, and prepare daily reports detailing activities and findings.
  • Work under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Civil Engineering Technology Degree.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory violation history.
Preferred Certification:
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) designation.
