Job Summary

The Trauma Program Manager is a key member of our nursing team at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. As a Trauma Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading our trauma team, developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures, and ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the trauma team in providing high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to unpleasant odors, sights, and sounds. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a well-lit and ventilated area. Schedule may consist of weekends, holidays, and shift work.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a BSN degree, two years of emergency nursing experience, and current licensure in the state of Kentucky. You will also need to obtain Basic Life Support certification within three months of employment and ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC/Non Violent Crisis Intervention certification within one year of hire. Annual Trauma, Stroke, and Cardiac Education is also required.
