CDL Training Program Educator

As a vital member of our educational team, you will be responsible for imparting essential skills and knowledge to students aspiring to secure a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A. Your role will include ensuring adherence to state regulations and fulfilling additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • A minimum of three years of documented CDL Class "A" driving experience in diverse weather conditions
  • Possession of a CDL Class "A" license with all endorsements, excluding Hazardous Materials, Passenger, and School Bus
  • A verifiable clean driving record with no more than two (2) points or two (2) moving violations within the last three years
  • No history of Operating Vehicle While Intoxicated (OVI), Driving Under the Influence (DUI), or Reckless Operation convictions
  • Compliance with the College's insurability criteria
  • Ability to successfully complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening
  • No felony convictions in the past ten years; capable of passing Ohio BCI and FBI background checks

  • Demonstrated ability to apply diverse problem-solving techniques in various scenarios
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as necessary
  • Strong understanding of transportation concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Proficient in customer service with a proven track record of fostering productive relationships
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and discretion
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to enhance workflow and quality
