Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in a residency core curriculum customized to meet individual learning objectives.
- Deliver direct nursing care under the guidance of a mentor, adhering to established healthcare protocols.
- Adjust priorities for patient care based on acuity, patient preferences, and available resources.
- Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure the continuity of safe and effective patient care.
- Respond to health risk indicators and take appropriate corrective actions.

- Adhere to hospital and departmental personnel policies.

Education Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Certifications:

- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on unit assignment.
- Additional certifications may be required based on specific clinical areas.
Work Experience:
- New graduates or RNs with less than one year of experience in acute direct patient care.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform a full range of motion, including lifting and handling patients.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Requires normal vision and hearing capabilities.
- Ability to work under stress and during irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
