Salary: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift – 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
As a Marine Yard Assistant, you will be engaged in various tasks that support our marine operations. Your role will involve light tooling, mechanical cleaning, paint removal, and ensuring a tidy work environment. You will also assist with insulation removal, deck dismantling, heavy lifting, and other general labor responsibilities as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain work sites for installation projects.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, tools, and machinery.
- Set up work areas, including necessary equipment.
- Support installation and service teams as required.
- Remove fiberglass insulation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to obtain clearance for work on Naval Bases.
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
- Familiarity with small hand and power tools.
- Experience working safely on construction sites.
- Ability to climb stairs and work on scaffolding or ladders up to 12' high.
