Job Title: Electronics Engineer for Shipyard Modernization

LMI Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to support activities related to shipyard modernization as part of enterprise-wide U.S. Navy strategic modernization and improvement efforts.

The successful candidate will provide on-site RFID technical expertise and support to oversee the successful operations of electronics, devices, and other system-of-systems components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the workflow and workforce, giving directions and recommendations when necessary.
  • Develop strategies and plans to improve the site's efficiency, produce progress reports, and coordinate with other workers.
  • Provide on-site passive Radio Frequency Identification (pRFID) technical expertise and support.
  • Perform research, design, develop, or test electronic components and systems.
  • Design electronic circuits and components for use in fields such as telecommunications or instruments and controls.
  • Recommend and implement hardware, infrastructure, and installation configurations.
  • Develop and analyze communications protocol requirements.
  • Support development of new wireless communications protocols.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot systems and components.
  • Use RF engineering tools and techniques to optimize system performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10 years of Electronics or Electrical Engineer experience and field support.
  • Understands IOT, RFID, and network engineering.
  • Understands deployment considerations and facilities nuances.
  • Knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment.
  • Professional and detail-oriented work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
