Eligibility Requirements:

To qualify for this position, candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or green card holders and have resided in the U.S. for a minimum of three consecutive years.

Work Arrangement:

This position is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and follows a hybrid work model, requiring individuals to work some days at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and other days remotely.

Organizational Overview:

The Treasury Services division of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland collaborates with and supports the U.S. Treasury's mission to enhance the utilization of digital transactions across the Federal Government. This group provides strategic leadership, industry expertise, and innovative solutions to assist in achieving the Treasury's goal of all-electronic payments and disbursements. As a member of this team, you will embrace the challenge of consistently delivering outstanding work that benefits the Treasury, our organization, federal agencies, businesses, financial institutions, and individuals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct test cases to verify that the system meets established requirements.
  • Prepare the system for testing specific scenarios.
  • Assist in the formulation and development of test plans, cases, and data, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Utilize testing tools and integrate them into testing processes.
  • Maintain test plans, environments, data, and tools for system enhancements and corrections.
  • Identify and prioritize issues related to testing and system behavior. Engage in root cause analysis for problems encountered during testing and propose potential solutions. Collaborate with developers and technical support staff as necessary to isolate the root cause of defects and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas to enhance team performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.
  • Adhere to the Bank's attendance policies through regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Associate's Degree or software testing certification with 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to analyze moderately complex business requirements.
  • Proficient in executing automation scripts.
  • Capability to test compliance with requirements.
  • Ability to conduct independent research.
  • Moderately specialized technical skills.
  • Continuous development of knowledge regarding the U.S. payments system, including ACH, checks, plastic cards, and emerging digital payment methods.
  • Ability to write simple queries to extract information from databases.
  • Competence in documenting detailed defects identified in the system for clarity in problem resolution.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Employees typically spend most of the day seated, working with a computer, and may respond to phone calls. Physical movement includes walking for meetings and breaks. The ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car or air.
