Key Responsibilities- Test Case Development: Develop and document manual test cases as determined by exit criteria within the test management system, supporting multiple development teams.
- Test Execution: Execute and perform manual tests of UI and APIs, ensuring thorough testing of software applications.
- Defect Management: Document defects and ensure the defect backlog is accurate, facilitating efficient defect resolution.
- Test Planning: Create system verification and regression test plans, driving process and timelines to execute test plans effectively.
- Collaboration: Partner with Quality Assurance Engineers to maintain and improve test data in applicable systems, promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Metrics and Reporting: Provide regular quality and test metrics to Product and Quality Assurance teams, ensuring data-driven decision making.
- Professional Development: Stay informed on leading technology and software engineering trends, applying knowledge to improve test strategies and processes.
- Software Quality Assurance Experience: Proven experience with software Quality Assurance processes and tools is required.
- API Testing: Experience with API testing and testing tools such as Postman, Fiddler, etc. is preferred.
- Issue Tracking: Experience with issue tracking software like Jira is required.
- Agile Environment: Experience working on teams delivering software products in an Agile environment that practices continuous integration and continuous delivery is preferred.
- Software Development Life Cycle: Experience with software development life cycle [SDLC] is preferred.
- Relational Data Stores: Experience with relational data stores such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL is preferred.
- CI/CD Concepts: Experience with CI/CD concepts is preferred.
- Legal/Court System: Experience with the legal/court system is preferred.
- Background Screening: Experience with background screening is preferred.
- Business Management Systems: Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, CRM, etc. is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Certifications/Licensure: Driver's license and ability to maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the Company's liability insurance carrier is required.
- Years of Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Office Environment: The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of offices, including general safe workplace practices with office equipment and computers.
- Noise Level: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
- Travel: Some travel by personal automobile and a valid driver's license is required. Occasional overnight travel is required.
